WELSH SLATE HELPS WALES’ AIR AMBULANCE
7 July 2019
Welsh Slate has boosted its support of one of its chosen charities – North Wales Air Ambulance.
The company has donated £500 from a filming fee to the charity to complement the thousands of pounds raised by its safety committee which awarded the money raised from a culmination of its 90-day safety awards.
Members of the safety committee, which includes representatives from the company’s main quarry at Penrhyn as well as its Cwt y Bugail quarry and minerals site in the Blaenau Ffestiniog area, have travelled to Caernarfon airport where the air ambulance is based, to meet staff there.
Welsh Slate HSEQ and technical manager Sean Edwards said: “We are delighted to be able to support such a worthwhile charity in any way we can.”
