WELSH SLATE GOES VIRTUAL FOR ALL OF WALES

Welsh Slate have taken part in a virtual careers fair for all secondary schools in Wales.
The All Wales Virtual Careers Fair on March 18th was hosted by Careers Wales with the aim of inspiring and informing students from Years 10 to 13 about careers in a variety of sectors from across Wales, as well as raising awareness of the pathways that can be taken.
Four members of Welsh Slate staff were on hand for a live chat facility that allowed pupils to ask specific questions. They were Penrhyn works manager Rob Maurice-Jones, HSEQ manager Sean Edwards, operations manager - west Malcom Ellis and Penrhyn operations manager Mike Ford.
Each of the 100 employers had a virtual stand where they shared videos and information about their company, along with links to the organisation’s website and further information about careers, apprenticeships and vacancies.
