WELSH SLATE GOES TO GROUND FOR A LOCAL FC

A football club in a small village close to Welsh Slate’s main Penrhyn Quarry is celebrating receiving its 150th tonne of help from the company.
Mynydd Llandegai FC celebrates its 25th anniversary this year with a host of ground improvements and upgrades. Over recent years the club has grant funded for changing rooms, hard standing, dug outs, drainage works and a 100-seater stand, all which Welsh Slate has donated aggregate to, now totaling 150 tonnes.
Team manager Huw Davies said: “The club is very active in fundraising, but we really appreciate and rely on the support from local business. Welsh Slate is very supportive and has donated many tonnes of sub-base to help with our projects.”
