PENMACHNO FUN DAY

Welsh Slate recently supported the Penmachno Fun Day, a community event held in the village near to our quarry in Blaenau Ffestiniog in North Wales. The event raised £2,160, which will go towards the development of a new community hub in the village.
The Penmachno Fun Day was a day of family fun, with activities for all ages, including a bouncy castle, face painting, and a tombola. Plus a tug-of-war competition, women verses men, with the women emerging victorious. There was entertainment throughout the day and also live music in the evening and delicious burgers on sale.
The company is committed to supporting the communities in which they operate, and they are proud to have played a role in making the Penmachno Fun Day such a success.
The new community hub will be a valuable asset to the village. and will help to create a stronger and more vibrant community and provide a space for people to meet, socialise, and participate in activities.
