GARDD FFRANCON COMMUNITY GARDEN

25 November 2021

Gardd Ffrancon is a community garden next to the Plas Ffrancon leisure centre in Bethesda.

The garden was established together between Byw yn Iach and Partneriaeth Ogwen, with the aim of giving a space to the community to grow vegetables and fruit, create a pretty space to relax and play, improve biodiversity by inviting wildlife, and give people a place to keep fit and healthy.

Every gardener knows how good a garden is to relax after a stressful day, and doing it together is a nice and easy way to meet other people and gain new skills. There's always something to learn from others, whether that's about gardening or life in general.

Gardd Ffrancon said "Welsh Slate made a valued contribution of the main path through the site, by donating the base and the slates for the surface to us. And they were highly praised by Cwmni Gwalch who built the path - they were so easy to speak and work with! Diolch yn fawr for helping yet another project in our community."
