FROM SUPER SNACKS TO STATIONERY
27 January 2025
Two local schools and the local fire station are the latest good causes to benefit from Welsh Slate donations.
The company has made a trio of donations from its quarries at Ffestiniog and Cwt y Bugail.
Firstly, there was the presentation by Ffestiniog and Cwt y Bugail shot firer Dafydd Ifan of an air fryer to a pupil from Ysgol Cynfal, Llan Ffestiniog, for a raffle prize to raise money for new school signage.
An air fryer was also the donation by Ffestiniog quarry manager Robin Evans to Anthony Owen, watch manager at Blaenau Ffestiniog Fire Station, towards a raffle to support the Fire Service Charity.
Robin said: “This donation continues the ongoing relationship we have with the local fire service who use our site for their training sessions.”
Then, Welsh Slate received a beautiful handcrafted “Thank you” poster from Miss Leslie’s class at Ysgol Tanygrisiau primary school, for its donation of stationery.
