BETHESDA ANNUAL CARNIVAL

Welsh Slate's Penrhyn Quarry, in the heart of Bethesda, was the main sponsor of the annual Bethesda Carnival this year.
The event was a fun-filled family day for the community.
There was plenty to do on the field during the day - a fancy dress competition for all ages, and demonstrations by the majorettes, Dreigiau Dyffryn gymnastics club and a short play by year 8 pupils of Ysgol Dyffryn Ogwen. There were stallholders selling crafts and plenty of choice in food stalls there too.
The entertainment on stage was the young DJ Efan Electro, a magic show, reggae music and the star of the show was Gareth the Orangutan
And a special appearance from King Macsen, Queen Phoebe, Prince Noah and Princess Cali as the royal family.
The committee thanked Welsh Slate for their support once again this year and said the donation was a much appreciated boost to the committee’s fundraising efforts, ensuring the Carnival was a hugely successful community event.
