BETHESDA ANNUAL CARNIVAL 2024

Welsh Slate's Penrhyn Quarry, in the heart of Bethesda, was the main sponsor of the annual Bethesda Carnival.
The event was a fun-filled family day for the community and was attended by over 1000 people.
The procession took place at 1pm, starting from Parc Meurig football ground, through the High Street and ending at Bethesda Rugby Club.
The afternoon was filled with fancy dress competitions for all ages, and displays from the Carnival majorettes and from Dreigiau'r Dyffryn the local gymnastics club.
There were many craft retailer stalls present, along with a variety of food vendors.
There was an afternoon of music provided by a DJ, followed by Beatbreaker (a 9 year old local DJ) and the band Ben Twthill.
The committee thanked Welsh Slate for their support once again this year and said the donation was a much appreciated boost to the committee’s fundraising efforts, ensuring the Carnifal was a hugely successful community event.
