Welsh Slate Fencing

Welsh Slate fence panels are particularly well-suited to harsh weather conditions as they will not rot or fade.

Available in a choice of Penrhyn Heather and Cwt-y-Bugail Dark Blue Grey, and a variety of width and height options, but can also be tailored to bespoke sizes.  Normally split by hand to 25mm-35mm with natural or sawn edges and a natural top. The ends of the slabs are buried, cantilevered, and bound together by a twisted wire. It’s a simple, economic and sustainable fencing solution.

Originally, slate fencing was used to mark fields, gardens, railways lines and roads but today they are a popular choice as an alternative to stone walling and create a defining feature of the landscape in rural settings.
