Standard Slabs of Welsh Slate
Rough sawn scants of Welsh Slate can be purchased in 20mm to 50mm thicknesses.
These are scants that are cut over sized to your final sized requirements. The specification is +3 to 6mm in oversized thickness and they are usually oversized at least 50mm on plan to the final sized requirement.
They do contain a burr from where they are detached from the block and will contain the full characteristic natural veining and pyrite/green features that are not detrimental to the stone.
Our standard sizes of rough sawn scants of Welsh Slate are up to 1830mm length and 650 in widths and available in both Penrhyn Heather and Cwt-y-Bugail Dark Blue Grey.
