Menai Centre, Bangor

Welsh slate was used to create a traditional "Heather Grey" facade at the new Menai Centre retail development in Bangor.

Welsh//Slate and granite processing firm Cerrig used specialist machinery to create a bespoke cladding system for the shopping centre's flagship Debenhams store and the development's car park.

Slate cladding tiles measuring 500x300mm with a thickness of 23mm were used to clad the 850m² facade that includes the Debenhams store frontage. 

For the car park the 500x300mm tiles were produced with a 40mm thickness to enable cladding contractor SCC to fix them into concrete across the 450m² car park facade.
