Westwood Roofing had to accommodate weddings and funerals in the run-up to Easter during their six-week 400m2 re-roof of this Grade 1 listed historic fishermen’s church.
The quality of the slate sent here in the early days was very thin and of poor quality, not like Welsh Slate’s Capital Grade. It was challenging but rewarding to reroof such an iconic Sydney church. It wasn’t a large project in the scheme of things but it was important relating to the early settlement of Sydney.
We only use Welsh Slate. In our view it’s the best in the world.
