Operating from four quarries in North Wales, Welsh//Slate has a turnover of approximately £27 million per annum. Natural slate is recognised throughout the world as one of the finest building materials available.

The Welsh slate quarries have been supplying the world with high quality roofing slate and other materials for over two hundred years. The company's head quarters in Penrhyn Quarry has been producing roofing slate since the 13th century.
Buildings roofed with Welsh//Slate materials supplied over two hundred years ago are common place, with roofing slate being re-used two or three times over a buildings life time.
In recent decades new sources of roofing slate have come into production from all over the world, none however have come even close to matching the technical performance of Welsh slate.
